On a sheet of paper, make three columns. Title the first column "Nonhormonal Methods," the second column "Advantages," and the third column "Disadvantages."

Write the name of six nonhormonal methods of contraception in the first column (i.e., lactational amenorrhea method (LAM), barrier methods, IUDs, periodic abstinence, withdrawal and sterilization).

For each method, write at least two advantages in the second column and at least two disadvantages in the third column.

Once you have completed this activity, review slides 22 through 30. After viewing those slides, you will be given the opportunity to evaluate your answers.
