Additional Materials for Self-Study Learners
|
In addition to the information included in the module, the
materials below are designed to facilitate your self-study
activities. Any of the additional materials can be reviewed
on-screen or printed using the files available in the Learner
Tools section.
Note-Taking Pages can be printed and used for taking notes
and writing questions while you study the module
contents.
Slide and Narrative Combination Pages (one slide
per page with the accompanying suggested
narrative) can
be printed and used
in lieu of the computer-based version of
the module for self-study. When combined with other materials
(e.g.,
the module references,
acknowledgments, fact sheets, and selected
other resources) the pages can be used as a reference
document.
The Learning Objectives provide concise statements
about what you will have gained after completing
the module.
Reviewing
the objectives before beginning the module
can help you focus your study efforts. Review the
objectives after
completing
the module to ensure that the objectives
have been met.
The Pre-/Post-Test is a knowledge assessment
tool. Both interactive and print versions
are available
and can
be used before you
begin the module to increase your awareness
of your knowledge gaps. Use the assessment after
your self-study
session
to assess what you have learned. An answer
key is provided in both the
interactive and print versions.
A Reference List is provided to document
the sources of module information.
Full-Text Resources are included for
more detailed information.
Fact sheets about contraceptive methods,
ARV drugs and therapy, and information
about HIV/AIDS
are
provided. You may find that
the fact sheets help you to apply
knowledge about providing contraceptives
for
women with HIV in
your day-to-day
practice.
