FHI in Asia and the Pacific FHI helps community-based and nongovernmental organizations improve HIV prevention, care, and treatment services and works closely with people who are considered most at risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Among these are male, female, and transgender sex workers and their clients; men who have sex with men; and injecting drug users. We are also engaged in projects that improve the diagnosis and treatment of TB and malaria. FHI also conducts health research, including trials intended to reduce the burden of severe human and avian influenza, adult and pediatric malaria, and diarrhea-related illness among children. |

Finally, FHI has worked in Asia to implement USAID's Regional Development Mission Asia (RDM/A) program since 1993. Scaling Up the Continuum of Care in the Asia-Pacific Region NOVEMBER 2007 — The continuum of care (CoC) is a strategy developed in the Asia-Pacific region to organize and provide care, treatment, and support services. Scaling Up the Continuum of Care for People Living with HIV: A Toolkit for Implementers will help planners and managers to create networks that link HIV care, treatment, and support services in ways that respond to unique needs.
