Family Health International publishes training materials that assist program planners and those working in clinical settings to meet and understand the specific needs of youth.

• The Training of Trainers Manual is a curriculum tool to prepare master-level peer education trainers. The manual uses participatory techniques based on a variety of theoretical frameworks to ensure that future trainers are skilled and confident in their abilities to train peer educators and serve as informed resources for their peers.

• HIV Counseling and Testing for Youth: A Manual for Providers is designed for service providers and counselors working with youth. It includes an introduction, guidance on counseling youth, technical information on using counseling and testing models, information on sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy prevention, background on life skills, a referral guide outline, and resources.

• The Youth Participation Guide includes an institutional assessment and planning tool, youth-adult partnership training curriculum, conceptual overview, background handouts, and more. It is targeted at senior and middle management, staff involved in implementing activities, and youth engaged in an organization's work.

• The Reproductive Health of Young Adults module contains 95 slides with notes, references, a self-test, and more, available for on-line training or use in presentations.

• Youth-Friendly Services: An On-Line Annotated Guide to Web-Based Resources (PDF 218 KB). This guide compiles 16 tools useful for programs seeking to make programs more youth-friendly.  Divided by type of tool (planning, assessment, provider training curricula, etc.), the guide includes easy Web links to the resources.

• My Changing Body: Fertility Awareness for Young People is targeted at young people to help them understand the physical and emotional changes that accompany puberty.
