Reproductive Health of Young Adults

Module cover
The Reproductive Health of Young Adults module is designed to increase the awareness and understanding of the reproductive health needs of young adults among policy-makers, program directors, program planners, and health care providers.

The presentation is divided into four sections:

  • Section I: Reproductive Health Issues of Young Adults
  • Section II: How to Reach Young Adults
  • Section III: Contraceptive Options for Young Adults
  • Section IV: STI/HIV Prevention and Treatment: Priority for Young Adults

This module may be used individually for a self-study program or as training presentations for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, or other trained health care personnel.

The Reproductive Health of Young Adults module is based largely on the print version produced by FHI in conjunction with the FOCUS on Young Adults Program in 1997 and updated with participatory activities in 2000. This 2003 edition has 12 new slides, mostly focusing on developments in the HIV/AIDS field, as well as updates throughout the module to the narrative and slides.

Reproductive Health of Young Adults is one of twelve modules produced by Family Health International, and the only module focusing exclusively on youth reproductive health issues.
