YouthNet End of Program Report (PDF, 594 KB)

The End of Program report for YouthNet (2001-2006) focuses on the program's top ten results, with recommendations and resources for taking action. This 64-page report includes 37 recommendations, organized by the ten major results, along with a list of YouthNet country activities, a summary of research studies, and an annotated summary of YouthNet publications.

Peer Education Toolkit

The Peer Education Toolkit is a group of five resources designed to help program managers and master trainers of peer educators. The toolkit is based on research and evidence from the field as well as local examples and experiences. They are designed to be adapted locally as needed.

Faith-Based Family Life Education Curricula

These curricula include two designed to work with adults with a participant handbook, one for a Christian audience and one for a Muslim one. In addition, a third tool is for working with youth directly, from a Christian perspective. The manuals encourage open discussion about sexuality, reproductive health, and HIV in the context of faith communities. They are not designed to promote religion.

Community Involvement Resources

The community involvement resources consist of four documents produced in partnership with CARE. They offer guidance for conducting participatory assessments, an annotated guide to technical resources, a report of a technical consultation on community involvement, and a literature review.

Youth Research Working Papers

Youth Research Working Papers are in-depth descriptions of research projects undertaken by FHI/YouthNet. They include an introduction, methodology, results, discussion, recommendations, tables, and figures.

YouthNet Briefs

YouthNet Briefs is a new series of two-page summaries highlighting YouthNet's global impact by focusing on YouthNet research results, country projects, and technical leadership.

Youth InfoNet

Youth InfoNet is a one-stop monthly and fully electronic source for new publications and information on youth reproductive health and HIV prevention.

YouthLens

YouthLens is a series of research briefs that summarize the latest information on key issues regarding reproductive health and HIV prevention among youth ages 10 to 24. These are available in English, Spanish, and French.

Youth Issues Papers

Youth Issues Papers are in-depth reviews of critical topics regarding youth reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention. They include an analysis of the issue, a literature review, case studies, lessons learned, and ideas about criteria for best practices.

Forum: Pregnancy Prevention in a Time of AIDS

In this online forum (March 15-April 15, 2005), more than 600 participated from 84 countries. The archived postings from the forum include comments from guest panelists and the moderator.

Other YouthNet Publications

Training materials, meeting reports, and other types of publications are available here, produced by YouthNet alone or in collaboration with other organizations. These include an adolescent training module, a fertility training manual, a report on the MTV "Staying Alive" campaign, and others.

FOCUS on Young Adults

FOCUS on Young Adults, a USAID-supported project that ended in 2001, assisted educational and health service delivery organizations in 30 countries to develop, monitor, and evaluate programs to improve the reproductive health of young adults. FOCUS published many documents detailing best practices on adolescent reproductive health. YouthNet, which began work in 2002, continues to build on the research produced by the FOCUS program.

Press Releases

YouthNet works with media in an effort to protect the reproductive health of adolescents and prevent future HIV infections.

Bangkok YouthForce Newsletters
