Iringa Youth Behavior Report Released
Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania - YouthNet published Youth Research Working Paper No. 1. Iringa Youth Behavior Survey -- Findings and Report (PDF 966KB). This paper reports on a population-based, household survey of youth ages 13 to 24. It provides a comprehensive picture of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of youth regarding HIV and reproductive health issues. It includes 13 recommendations on protective strategies, gender norms, knowledge-behavior gap, and services. The narrative discussions of the findings include data in 36 tables and 27 figures.
Y-PEER Tanzania Network Launched
Bagamoyo, Tanzania - Research has shown that peer education can increase knowledge, change attitudes, and sustain and improve behaviors related to HIV prevention and reproductive health. In response, YouthNet recently launched the Y-PEER Tanzania Network. Read more >>>
YouthNet Releases Findings from Three New Studies
Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - YouthNet released findings from three new studies examining the health and behavior of young people, the Tanzania HIV/AIDS Indicator Survey, conducted by the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS), the National Bureau of Statistics, and ORC Macro of the United States; the Ishi Youth Baseline Assessment, conducted by HealthScope/Tanzania and TACAIDS; and, the Iringa Youth Behavior Survey, conducted by the YouthNet project of Family Health International (FHI).
