The importance of quality healthcare laboratories is especially important in resource-limited countries. Poor-quality laboratory services and inaccurate results can lead to inappropriate action (or inaction), incorrect treatment, and investigations. FHI works with laboratories to develop and install strong systems to bolster service capacity and the patient community overall.
Our quality assurance laboratory specialists work with partners and laboratories to improve services through assessments, program enhancements, training, and technical assistance. We also provide services to meet good laboratory practice (GLP) requirements and gain approval for clinical research studies. Good manufacturing practice (GMP) facility audits and other technical appraisals ensure that products distributed internationally meet global performance and safety requirements. Our technical expertise and understanding of local limitations make it possible for us to strengthen laboratories in some of the most challenging settings.
