Our clinical researchers pursue answers to critical questions in global public health through randomized controlled trials, cohort studies, case-control studies, community intervention trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and probability surveys. These researchers manage the full range of study demands from concept origination to publication of results. FHI's high standards of medical, methodological, and technical accuracy distinguish our scientists as international leaders in epidemiology.
FHI's scientists have published many highly regarded papers on epidemiological and randomized trial methods. They have also aided the development and authoring of CONSORT (consolidated standards of reporting trials) guidelines that have improved the quality and reporting of randomized trials. Our epidemiologists work with global policy-setting organizations, such as WHO, and local governments to ensure that the results of our research are broadly applied. We are committed to balancing the pursuit of research with education that advances the science of clinical research.
