This 2000 survey assessed the level of HIV/AIDS risk behavior among general population males in three major urban areas in the Philippines, particularly Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City.

The study obtained information about the men's background characteristics, marriage and live-in partnerships, sexual experiences, condum, sexually transmitted disease, and HIV/AIDS awareness, and exposure to HIV/AIDS information and intervention programs.

Generally, the survey found that a great majority of Filipino urban men were not at risk of acquiring and transmitting HIV. The men who practiced safer sex behavior were greater in number than those with unsafe sex behavior.
