On April 11, 2003, the Ongwediva community celebrated the launch of a new community development project, aimed at improving the quality of life of people in the area.

 

The new multipurpose center, dedicated to President Sam Nujoma for his commitment to the development of the Namibian people, was officially opened by His Excellency at a special ceremony attended by invited dignitaries, including U.S. Ambassador Kevin McGuire, ministers, regional and local officials, NGO, business, donor and community representatives.
