OCTOBER 2004 – Family Health International has implemented the USAID-funded IMPACT Project in Vietnam since 1998. We partner with Vietnam's Ministry of Health and with national and provincial offices to introduce effective HIV/AIDS prevention interventions and risk reduction approaches among those most vulnerable to HIV infection or transmission.

This report summarizes the major objectives and activities of the IMPACT Project in Vietnam. It documents the project's achievements in prevention, care and support, and capacity-building from 1998–2003. And it reflects on lessons learned that will influence the direction FHI-supported work in Vietnam takes in the future.
