JUNE 2008 — The STI Clinic Supervisory Handbook aims to help clinic supervisors effectively guide and support clinic staff to provide the best possible level of care.

The handbook covers the many functions of effective supervision, including motivating and training staff, sharing data and guidelines, monitoring and evaluating staff performance, managing day-to-day challenges, and facilitating organizational support.

Designed to be used along with the Clinic Operational Guidelines and Standards (COGS), the handbook will be useful to any clinic staff who are responsible for patient care. Key elements of clinic management are also summarized in checklist form for quick referral.
