AUGUST 2007 — At the request of USAID’s Central Asia Regional Mission, the Implementing AIDS Prevention and Care (IMPACT) conducted an assessment of USAID’s best choices for HIV-prevention interventions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. To facilitate the launching of a comprehensive prevention strategy, the assessment team recommended interventions relating to organizational capacity development and local capacity building, especially in the areas of outreach and service delivery to high-risk groups, personnel, information technology, communication, training, and education.
