JULY 2007 — In Pakistan, the USAID-funded Implementing AIDS Prevention and Care (IMPACT) Project provided technical assistance and capacity building for the Ministry of Health's National AIDS Control Program (NACP) to promote safe blood transfusions, reduce risk behaviors, and support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) with appropriate care. IMPACT also provided technical assistance and capacity building for eight partner organizations, including a PLHA organization; and supported the development of a popular peer education toolkit, youth-focused programs, and inputs to the Pakistan youth policy.
