Improving HIV/AIDS care and treatment is a major priority for the Egyptian government. Early care and treatment is imperative to reduce the physical, psychological and economic impact of HIV/AIDS on patients and their family members.
"National HIV/AIDS Clinical Care: A Reference Guide for Physicians" was developed to train doctors working in Egypt in the diagnosis and management of HIV/AIDS, related illnesses and opportunistic infections.
The guide highlights strategies for managing the health problems of AIDS patients at different levels of care provision and details the equipment and drugs necessary at each level of care.
