Final Report for the AIDSCAP Program in Haiti: Attachments
This report comprehensively summarizes the FHI/AIDSCAP program in Haiti (1992-1996). Program activity and outcome data are provided on the following strategies: targeted behavior change interventions; increasing condom access through condom social marketing; increasing access to appropriate STI care; enhancing the social and policy environment to support behavior change; strengthening technical, management and evaluation capacity of Haitian NGOs; and improving care and management for AIDS patients.

Attachment B: Summary of Donor Support to Haiti's National AIDS Control Program in 1989
CIDA
Canadian support for technical assistance in conducting baseline KABP studies and in developing communication campaigns and materials
EEC
European Economic Community supported activities via the Haitian Red Cross
FAC
French development assistance focused on laboratory costs and clinical care at the University Hospital, and the provision of HIV test kits for transfusion centers
PAHO
This branch of the WHO provided direct financial and technical personnel support to the BCPNLS and some direct assistance to select NGOs to conduct AIDS interventions
UNICEF
This support involved integrating AIDS education into UNICEF activities focusing on women and children
UNFPA
Financed a training activity in AIDS prevention to 10,000 "traditional birth attendants"
World Bank
Supported training for health professionals and provision of TB prophylaxis and control for HIV-infected persons and HIV testing for TB patients in two departments of Haiti
USAID
Supported the BCPNLS and local NGOs to conduct activities aimed at reducing sexual transmission of HIV
