Côte d'Ivoire Observes World AIDS Day DECEMBER 2007 — To mark World AIDS Day 2007, FHI/Côte d'Ivoire provided technical support and funding derived from USAID to "Journées des Enterprises," a knowledge-exchange in Abidjan on workplace HIV testing and counseling programs.

DECEMBER 2004 — The report Rapid Appraisal of Palliative Care and Community- and Home-Based Care in Abidjan, Côte D'Ivoire, conducted in November, has been released.

JUNE 2007 — Family Health International (FHI), the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) and National Confectioners Association (NCA) have joined forces to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and malaria in Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. The new partnership is working with cocoa farmers, their families and agricultural communities in cocoa-growing regions of both countries to increase awareness and strengthen prevention of HIV/AIDS and malaria. 
FEBRUARY 2007 — In collaboration with the Cote d'Ivoire Ministry of Health, FHI assisted in the creation of a national palliative care taskforce, which it also runs. The taskforce responds to the need for a coordinated approach, and greater collaboration between program partners and people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as between the government and NGOs.
