
"Queen Mothers" Protect Other Sex Workers from HIV
JANUARY 2010 — The HIV prevalence among sex workers can be as high as 65 percent in some Zambian towns. Learn how Corridors of Hope has succeeded in promoting viable alternatives to sex work. COH II Helps Women Protect Health, Safety

FEBRUARY 2009 — Corridors of Hope outreach workers are helping women who have crossed the border from Zimbabwe in search of money to feed their families. They meet with the women to hold "Reflect" discussions, helping the women—some of whom have turned to sex work—deal with issues that concern them. The women are learning safer sex practices and have formed a support group to help each other keep safe.
