As part of an information, education and communication (IEC) strategy, FHI/Senegal released the IEC Resource: Flannellographes written entirely in French.

The Flannellographes resource consists of flannel boards and a series of images and figures that adhere to the flannel boards. These figures are then used to stimulate discussion and educate people about situations and behaviors that increase risk for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and HIV/AIDS.

Individuals who lead the discussion can also use the flannellograph series to help show behaviors that can reduce risk of STI and HIV infection.

The FHI/Senegal flannellograph series comes with a set of typical situations and discussion topics about protection against STI, HIV/AIDS and support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).

Les Flanellographes sont composés d'une part d'une série d'images (appelée figurines) portant sur des situations pouvant impulser une discussion sur un thème donné et d'autre part d'un morceau de tissu devant servir de support pour l'affichage de ces images. Les figurines permettent de présenter des situations diverses suivant les aspects du thème que l'on veut aborder. Les thèmes proposés portent sur la protection contre les IST/VIH/SIDA et le soutien aux PVVIH. En mettant en ligne ce support sur le web, les partenaires peuvent le visualiser et en commander selon leurs besoins avec leur logo et à un prix très réduit avec l'imprimerie choisie par FHI/Sénégal.
