Laura Bush Expresses Admiration for FHI-supported Project in Senegal
JULY 2007 — "One essential thing in the treatment of AIDS is good nutrition," said First Lady Laura Bush after her tour of the ambulatory treatment center at the Fann Hospital in Dakar June 26. She added that the FHI-supported vegetable gardens were "a great role model for other hospitals [and] communities."

FHI/Senegal Releases Set of IEC Resources
FEBRUARY 2004 — As part of an information, education and communication (IEC) strategy, FHI/Senegal released a series of IEC resources written entirely in French. The series offers different IEC and behavior change communication (BCC) tools and resources for STI/HIV/AIDS prevention materials. The series includes STI/HIV/AIDS prevention materials such as audio cassettes, posters, protective cases for carrying condoms and brochures created for the female condom. Organizations can download the materials on the Web or request customized copies of the materials.
