Collaborative research and promotion of evidence-based results constitute the foundation of Family Health International's work in India. We work with both governmental and nongovernmental organizations in our mission to improve reproductive health, increase access to family planning, find new strategies for the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, and halt the spread of malaria and other infectious diseases.

FHI researchers are comparing the effectiveness of three vasectomy techniques and studying the acceptability of the method among clients and providers.
In partnership with the Indian Council for Medical Research, we are training scientists in the use of good clinical practice.
FHI is supporting the Medicines for Malaria Venture in efforts to find safe and effective treatment for people with malaria.
