AUGUST 2007 — The Republic of Guinea last month awarded AWARE-HIV/AIDS a certificate of satisfaction for its “remarkable contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS and for [the program’s] respect for the principle of the ‘Three Ones’ in Guinea.”

The Executive Secretariat for the National AIDS Commission recommended that the Government of Guinea recognize FHI’s work, and the certificate was awarded by Prime Minister Lansana Kouyaté.

FHI/Guinea Country Director Fatimata Sy said: “We are grateful for this recognition of our hard work and that of FHI’s partners [PSI, TFGI, CHA, CHP, WAPCAS]. I would especially like to thank the staff who work tirelessly to ensure the success of the program and USAID for all the support they have given us since the project began.”
