NOVEMBER 2004 — The report Infection Control Assessment Tool for Blood Banks provides the tools used by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population during its assessment of 21 blood banks throughout the country.

The tools were used by officials to ascertain the knowledge and practices regarding universal precautions used in blood banks as a means to reduce the transmission of blood borne pathogens within healthcare settings, including blood banks.
