Monitoring HIV/AIDS Programs: A Facilitator's Training Guide AUGUST 2007 — To strengthen monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities in the Middle East and North Africa Region, FHI/Egypt adapted and translated into Arabic sections of the FHI-produced "Monitoring HIV/AIDS Programs: A Facilitator's Training Guide"
HIV/AIDS Clinical Care Reference Guide for Physicians Published JANUARY 2007 — FHI/Egypt collaborated with Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population to publish "National HIV/AIDS Clinical Care: A Reference Guide for Physicians." The guide was developed to train doctors working in Egypt in the diagnosis and management of HIV/AIDS, related illnesses and opportunistic infections.
Documents Ease Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections JANUARY 2007 — With funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development, FHI collaborated with Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population to develop guidelines and training materials for comprehensive care of sexually transmitted infections. These materials, produced to meet national needs, can also be adapted and used throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

Basic Blood Bank Practices: Training Curriculum and Training of Trainers Manual Released
Training of Trainers Manual Enables Safe Blood Communication To foster the widespread usage of the Safe Blood Communication Guide, FHI, in conjunction with technical experts, developed a corresponding training of trainers manual. FHI has taught 40 trainers how to train blood bank staff using the guide.

NOVEMBER 2006 — With funding from USAID and in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, FHI has developed a complete set of national voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) documents to meet the needs of HIV/AIDS care providers and clients. The comprehensive VCT package can be easily replicated and includes English and Arabic versions of this useful reference guide for counselors. 
To ensure the safe handling of blood and donors to blood banks, FHI/Egypt collaborated with the National Blood Transfusion Services and developed the Basic Blood Bank Practices Training Curriculum and Training of Trainers manual. FHI has trained more than 700 blood bank staff members with the curriculum.
