FHI Launches Counseling and Testing Site in Mbuji-Mayi
 
getting testedDECEMBER 2007 — FHI marked World AIDS Day Nov. 29 by launching a counseling and testing site in Mbuji-Mayi. Funding is from the US Department of Defense. During the ceremony, General Bahuma Ambamba, chief of the DRC Army's national HIV/AIDS program, showed his support by being publicly counseled and tested. Approximately 80 troops followed suit.

BCC Network Meeting Report Released

bcc network thumbnailThe BCC Network for HIV/AIDS: First Regional Meeting for East, Central and Southern Africa: Renewed Emphasis on Behaviour Change Communication for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care report is an overview of proceedings from a regional BCC meeting held on Nov. 3-6, 2003, in Kampala, Uganda. The report is intended to serve as a resource for meeting participants and health practitioners. BCC Network covers emerging BCC issues, including planning and programming, developing care and treatment programs, addressing stigma, and youth.
