FHI Shares Lessons Learned with Azerbaijan Foundation of Democracy Development and Human Rights Protection

JUNE 2007 — Human rights advocates from the Azerbaijan Foundation of Democracy Development and Human Rights Protection who met June 13 with External Relations Officer Nadya Nikiforova learned about FHI's HIV prevention work and the importance FHI places on stakeholder involvement and culturally appropriate interventions.

The advocates explained the challenge of building the capacity of civil society in Azerbaijan to advocate for HIV prevention and treatment and to fight the discrimination that hampers effective programs.
