Partners and Donors

Through USAID and the IMPACT Project, FHI works in Burundi to prevent the spread of HIV and improve the care and support available for those infected and at the highest risk of infection.

In Burundi, FHI works closely with the national government and local nongovernmental organizations.

Nongovernmental partners include:

  • Centre de Formation et de Recherche en Médecine et Maladies Infectieuses (CEFORMI)
  • La Famille pour Vaincre le SIDA (FVS-AMADE)
  • Le Réseau Burundais des Personnes Vivant avec le VIH/SIDA  (R.B.P.+)

FHI provides technical support to the research agency CEFORMI to carry out the Behavior Surveillance Survey to ensure decision-makers have current and reliable data on HIV/AIDS in Burundi.
