FHI Trains Doctors and Nurses in Burundi
MAY 2004 — FHI's Care and Treatment training manuals were used to train 22 physicians and 37 technical nurses in Burundi in April. The Care and Treatment publications present new knowledge and skills for organizing and delivering clinical care and treatment services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Participants represented FHI partners and other local nongovernmental organizations working in Burundi. This intensive four-day training program was facilitated by the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
