How is fhi.org organized?

 

All of the content on fhi.org is organized into the following subject areas:

 

About FHI: Information on corporate and organizational structure, employment, contact information, FHI mission statement, FHI's products and services, and more.

 

HIV/AIDS: Information and publications on all of FHI's work on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, programs, and more.

 

Reproductive Health: Information and publications on reproductive health and family planning programs, research, and more.

 

Youth: Information and publications on FHI's work addressing reproductive health and HIV/AIDS with youth, including the YouthNet project.

 

Country Profiles: A country-level view of the work done around the world by FHI.

 

FHI Publications: A centralized place to search, browser, and explore all publications produced by FHI across all areas of interest.

    
How do I quickly find information on fhi.org?

There are three quick ways to easily find information on the FHI Web site:

Use the fhi.org search engine: Search terms can be entered into the search engine box that is found in the top right corner of every page on fhi.org. If you enter multiple terms, it will search for all of them together. By default this search box searches all of fhi.org. To search specific areas of fhi.org, select "Advanced Search" and you can search by language or content area.

 

Explore the site map: The site map (the link to which is found under the search box) provides a hierarchical presentation of the organization of fhi.org. It also displays the main areas of the Web site with links to specific sub-categories of information inside fhi.org.  

 

View information by topic: By clicking "Browse by topic" in the search box area, you can explore by specific topic. Examples of topics include condoms, peer education, and faith-based initiatives. 

 

How do I find FHI publications?

 

If you are looking specifically for publications, visit the main FHI Publications page to search all FHI publications, view alphabetical lists of FHI publications, and explore newly released and featured publications.


What about e-mailing and printing pages from fhi.org?


Printer-friendly pages: To print any page from the fhi.org Web site, simply click the "Printer-friendly" icon in red found in the top right part of the screen. A new window will appear that will contain only the text and image content from the page. To print this, select Print from the File menu in your web browser. 


E-mail links to fhi.org: Click "E-mail this to a friend" and simply complete the form with a valid e-mail address. A link to the fhi.org page you are viewing will be sent to the recipient you specified.


What should I do if I'm having problems downloading and viewing FHI publications?


Most of the downloadable publications on fhi.org are in standard Adobe PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to download, view, print, and save PDF documents directly from your web browser.

When fhi.org doesn't display correctly, what can I do?


The fhi.org Web site is designed and tested for viewing with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and higher and Netscape 5.0 and higher.
