Family Health International is committed to making fhi.org accessible for a broad range of users. As we build upon our current content, we endeavor to comply with Section 508 standards, as well as guidelines (priority 1) outlined by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Specifically, we work in the following areas to assure that our Web site is user-friendly and easily understood through text readers.

• Alt tags and transcripts: Alternative text for graphics is provided to ensure that text readers have access to descriptive text about visual media on our site.
  
• Frames:  We avoid creating pages that use frames because they are often not readable by text readers.
  
• Browsers: The FHI Web site has been tested in different web browsers to ensure that visitors who use browsers other than Microsoft Internet Explorer can view information on our site.
