Dear Friends,

Family Health International's corporate report, Improving Lives Worldwide, presents some of our recent key achievements and highlights some of our new directions. Built around short vignettes on individuals who have benefited directly from our research and programs, it reinforces the value that FHI places on impact. Accompanied by dramatic photographs, these stories — from Cambodia, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, Indonesia, and Kenya — are a visual testament to FHI's accomplishments and capabilities. A centerfold map illustrates FHI's "global footprint."

Our work would not be possible without the many partnerships we enjoy throughout the world with funders, governments, nongovernmental organizations and academic institutions, as well as with community- and faith-based organizations of all types. This letter offers me a welcome opportunity, on behalf of the entire FHI community, to thank all those who have encouraged and collaborated with FHI over the years, and to express appreciation to those whose financial support enables the important work described in this report.
